Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our nine major business lines include Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Financial Institutions Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, and the Investment Portfolio. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

Job Description:

  • Develop pitch materials for client prospects detailing market trends, structural alternatives, quantitative analysis, and execution recommendations
  • Create, maintain, and improve detailed internal models to support the origination effort
  • Prepare weekly and quarterly market updates for clients and bankers. 
  • Maintain internal databases.
  • Monitor news and research to keep teams abreast of industry developments and new business opportunities.
  • Utilize complex models to price and structure various equity-linked securities and equity derivative products
  • Coordinate with Industry Bankers, Syndicate Desk professionals, and Sales & Trading, to facilitate all origination and execution processes 

Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.



Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of capital markets industry experience; or 2+ years of financial services industry experience

The Corporate and Investment Banking Division targets those who have a demonstrated capability for analysis and strategic thinking as well as a desire to learn new and challenging skills.

We look for proven work ethic, intellectual ability, demonstrated leadership / teamwork skills, initiative, and personal integrity.

Other specific requirements include:

  • Undergraduate degree from a four year accredited college or university
  • Business degree and / or significant business and economics course-load is preferred
  • One or more years of relevant work experience. 
  • Prior investment banking or capital markets experience is a plus.
  • Genuine interest equity markets.
  • Superior analytical skills, ability to multi-task, excellent attention to detail, and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Candidate must also enjoy working in a small team environment and building relationships with internal and external partners.
