Job Description: We are seeking a marketing metrics and insights leader who is highly analytical, self-motivated and intellectually curious to join the Individual Solutions Group (ISG) Marketing, Customer Experience & Insights (MCXI) team in support of the Individual Life Insurance (ILI) and Annuities businesses. You will provide vision and leadership by driving the marketing data roadmap to deeply understand prospect, customer, and intermediary engagement and demonstrate data insights to measure the impact & ROI of marketing efforts. The VP, Metrics & Insights will build a team that will craft and enhance the marketing data platform enabling a 360° view of the customer and intermediary, providing insights via evolving customer and intermediary segmentation models, establishing a framework of key metrics and reporting for MCXI teams, and partnering with the Business Intelligence team to enable insights & track the effectiveness of returns on marketing investments/campaigns. You will build a holistic marketing reporting, analytics and insights practice, partnering with marketing & business leaders to understand and provide insights and message strategies and campaign performance across channels by packaging and presenting insights to stakeholders. Success will require collaborating internally across the organization with Executive Management, Marketing, Customer Experience, Communications, Product Development, Sales, Advertising, Business Intelligence and Customer Office to drive towards the next generation of marketing data insights and analytics. This position will report to the Head of Consumer & Marketing Insights and provides a high level of autonomy and exposure to senior leadership within the company. What You Will Bring: • A consistent record of successfully leading teams of reporting & metrics professionals that provide information and insights necessary to run and grow a global financial brand. • Establishment and rollout to broader organization of a formal insight loop for all MCXI projects, initiatives, product launches, marketing campaigns to build a foundation, enable connections, measure results, share insights, identify new opportunities, and continuously learn. • Improvement of the usability of marketing reports by identifying metrics that matter to the marketing organization, developing dashboards and providing actionable insights for marketing leaders & business partners. • An ability to track and project how marketing spend and outcomes accurately drive impact and return on investment via the marketing data platform to provide the business and functional leads with accurate reporting & insights. • Support of the MCXI team in creating multi-channel marketing strategies for new and existing products; for the ILI and Annuities businesses; including the development of customer segmentation, marketing & targeting, as well as the evaluation of new data sources and advanced data processing technologies. • Identification and launch of new tools designed to have users directly have access to insights to self-serve. • A dedicated change agent who coaches and leads the marketing team. towards a data and insight driven marketing organization testing new strategies & learning from insights to help the business drive decisions. • An ability to closely partner with various, technology and business intelligence teams to evaluate new and alternate approaches, data models and analytics tools. • The ability to produce various reports and dashboards based on multiple data sources and explore ways to automate & incrementally improve to provide enhanced data insights. • A commitment and desire to identify challenges and proactively turning issues into actionable plans. • Passion, experience, and expertise in leading from the front and establishing a data driven organization. Qualifications • 10+ years experience in the insight & analytics space building and developing data-driven marketing programs. • 5+ years experience leading and motivating teams, including partnering across areas with direct & indirect supervisory lines. • Significant experience crafting the marketing data strategy, building & maintaining a marketing data platform that provides measurable business value & insights via data. • Expertise in Powerpoint, Excel, Tableau BI reporting and data modeling including using advanced functionality to build dashboard & reports. • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, particularly at the executive level to build presentations to be leveraged to persuade, influence, and drive change. • Comfortable working with senior leaders across the organization, making recommendations & creating executive updates. • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to effectively work independently, as well as part of a team and across functions and levels of the organization. • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or Business degree a plus • Experience in financial services preferred; experience in Life Insurance, Retirement or Annuities space a plus .
