VP, Head of Customer Centric Advice Offering Marketing

The Customer Office (CO) at Prudential is a team that merges the entrepreneurial spirit of a start-up with the stability of one of the world's most established financial services companies to deliver best in class experiences to our customers.


This is an executive level leadership role that requires cross-functional expertise, and customer centric thinking. You will develop comprehensive end-to-end omni channel marketing strategy and execution plans for our Customer Centric Advice Offering, which includes needs-based planning, leading to the sale of Life Insurance, Investment and Retirement products.


In this role you will be responsible for marketing of our Advisory Offering; starting with go to market plans, onboarding experience, existing customer management and retention.


You will collaborate closely with Customer Office leadership, partner with product management to provide relevant inputs and work closely with our sales and service functions to deliver exceptional customer experience, drive engagement and grow our baseline.


The successful candidate will have a proven track record of marketing to customers in a sophisticated and digitally driven direct-to-consumer organization preferably in Fintech, Insurtech or Startup environment.


The role will focus on all aspects of assessing end to end revenue and income drivers of the firm with a marketing lens, and creating economic value both for the customer and the company.


This role will manage teams in multiple geographic sites, and entails careful business planning and resource scaling, economics based business thinking, and quick decision making. Because this role will manage multiple teams with different focuses and responsibilities, you must be a proven leader, with an exceptional focus on harnessing and developing talent.


Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic planning, enhancement and execution of marketing plans for Prudential’s new direct to consumer planning and sales platform.
  • Influence customer experience for end-to-end planning and sales process, working closely with CX and Sales team.
  • Product positioning and development of customer collateral and educational tools.  
  • Go-to market strategy and rollout, including advertising, public relations and/or events.  
  • Coordination, co-development and collaboration with the Customer Office product team, DTC sales and service organization, and other enterprise marketing, product and sales organizations.  
  • Definition and accountability for revenue and cost drivers, customer engagement metrics and other KPIs.
  • Focused budget and priority / capacity management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Management or equivalent; MBA preferred.  
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in financial services preferably in Wealth Management, Investment or Insurance, with practical experience in Digital Marketing.  
  • Experience in managing large, multifunctional teams.  
  • Proven track record of successful customer facing marketing solutions execution that deliver strong outcomes.  
  • Superior digital marketing experience, skills and insights.  
  • Deep financial services industry knowledge and empathy towards customer needs.  
  • Excellent time management / organizational and negotiation skills.  
  • Strong communication and hands-on presentation creation and delivery skills.   
  • Strong leadership skills in building, motivating, and operating a diverse team.   
  • Ability to go deep into the details as warranted – both a planner and a “doer."
