We are seeking a Vice President, Inclusion, Culture & Talent to help lead Prudential’s Diversity & Inclusion Center of Expertise and serve as a relationship manager and consultative strategist with various business divisions and corporate centers. You will work closely with business leaders, Human Resources Partners, and experienced professionals in our Centers for Organizational Expertise and Talent Management to set, implement, and track progress against specific goals relating to Prudential’s culture, people and business performance. You will also be responsible for diagnosing, strengthening, and evolving Prudential’s culture: integrating inclusive best practices into HR programs and trainings, guiding the “Culture” and “Talent” areas of focus of the Inclusion program and as a subject matter expert across client groups. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion and Impact and preferably based in Newark, New Jersey, you will have the following responsibilities:
  • You will lead implementation of inclusion programs across the company and in partnership with designated client groups using evidence-based best practices to strengthen results
  • You will partner with Human Resources Business Partners and Centers of Expertise to identify opportunities to promote inclusiveness throughout the talent lifecycle, understand business priorities and develop and operationalize business and group-specific diversity and inclusion strategies
  • You will collaborate with HR/Talent Management to identify techniques to expand our pipeline for diverse talent and provide challenging opportunities for growth for existing high-potentials to position Prudential to have a continuous source of diverse talent
  • You will collaborate with HR/Organizational Effectiveness to equip managers to cultivate a climate which is inclusive, promotes an engaged team and develops/retains diverse talent
  • You will evaluate and recommend strategic partnerships and investments to advance Prudential’s talent objectives
  • You will regularly lead/participate in business roundtable discussions (internally and externally) to increase understanding of the behaviors, programs and culture that will position Prudential to be a standout company for diversity and inclusion
  • You will champion inclusion throughout the company and strengthen engagement/accountability with stakeholders and partners
  • You will have a deep knowledge of and experience in one or more of the following areas: organizational culture; employee engagement; social change/campaign design and execution; employee experience; and/or talent attraction, acquisition and mobility
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years corporate professional experience; strategy, consulting and/or project management experience desirable
  • Experience working cross-functionally and developing relationship at all levels of the organization and across multiple locations
  • Impact without formal authority
  • Earn credibility and create buy-in among stakeholders, managers and employees  
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and translate strategy to practical solutions
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Willing and able to facilitate and initiate candid, productive conversations on a variety of topics including race, gender, sexual orientation, ability and identity
  • Positive, self-starter able to work without significant oversight or day to day direction
  • Flexible, innovative in a productive, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
