Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk and market risk. We help our management and Board of Directors identify and monitor risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and take appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Performs all aspects of complex residential appraisal and/or appraisal review assignments which may include full inspection walk-throughs, drive-by and/or desk assignments. Completes or reviews appraisals ensuring reports are in compliance with regulatory and bank policy. Assignments may include SFR, land and residential property (1-4 units) at any transactional amount, with focus on high dollar transactional assignments, and assignments with higher risk levels as designated by the business unit. Consistently provides good quality reports and meets service expectations on the most complex and high risk assignments. Consistently demonstrates required valuation skillsets in appraisal development, reporting, and/or review. Demonstrates efficiencies in appraisal processes. Requires minimal supervision and coaching. Duties may include being responsible for quality oversight of lower level appraisers and trainees including collaboration with Valuation Managers on training programs, assisting with quality reviews, conducting studies of residential values and trends, conducting second level reviews of complex and non-complex appraisal assignments and reviews, and providing guidance to staff regarding the high risk and complex appraisals. Must be capable of performing numerous management functions including the management of complex business relationships involving internal partners within the context of specific assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of valuation experience
  • Certified Appraiser

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
  • Solid decision making skills
  • Experience meeting high production and quality standards
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
