  Position Summary:  

The TS Service Specialist Manager– Financial Applications, will be responsible for the design and delivery of FP&A (Financial Planning and Analytics) related systems, and requires the use of specialized technical & functional knowledge and skills, including Agile (prefer), IT Design and Delivery within FPA domain. Primary responsibilities include IT Design, Delivery and Deployment of data capture systems and multi-source ETL & reporting for FPA. This role requires a combination of business process and technology expertise. This role will report directly to the TS Global Service Owner.

  Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Leads Design and Delivery of software solutions utilizing Agile, large scale data capture and reporting system design/delivery knowledge and skills, with FP&A domain knowledge while following approved J&J standard policies and procedures (e.g.  SDLC, Agile, IAPP, etc.). This role requires a broad knowledge of financial data capture and multi-source ETL & reporting solutions, leadership and creativity to work within a large IT service delivery organization to drive business solutions.
  • Captures customer insights to improve FPA projects throughout design & delivery, and delivers continuous improvement recommendations to service owners. Conduct impact analysis on process/tools coming from new/enhanced services.
  • Assists in knowledge transfer to team members and organizations after successful delivery of the service.
  • Performs assessments of customer demand and partners with order analysts to deliver estimates and quotes for FPA design and delivery service(s) to the customer
  • Plan, select, and schedule approved vendors to deliver the service. Oversee the work of vendor resources throughout a project.
  • Manage the TS budget for the delivery of the service and be responsible for reporting on service performance to leadership and customers.
  • Develop service improvement plans and/or run service improvement initiatives
  • Perform design & delivery while overseeing multiple contractors -  partnering with TS Testing, TS SQA on large scale global systems for FPA. 
  • Knowledgeable SME of J&J financial aggregations (prior knowledge not required), and other FPA related applications.
  • Experienced in working in large teams with multiple simultaneous interlocking activities/sub-deliverables against the larger program goals. 
  • Design globally while creating solutions with regional data collection configurations.

  • Education requirement: Bachelor’s degree or above required -
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT required  
  • Project oversight, partnering with Project Management staff on larger scale systems-
  • Must have experience generating project/software estimates, including larger scale estimates.
  • People management experience required (direct or indirect employees, internal or contractors)
  • Actively will follow and enforce J&J standards of software development, such as SDLC
  • Agile familiarity required, Agile project experience a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience with FPA related applications preferred
  • Experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other MS office tools required.
  • Must have ERP experience (SAP or JDE), good understanding of ERP with knowledge of financial reconciliation
  • Must be able to solve complex business problems and present recommendations to senior management effectively
  • Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Must be able to define, shape, and drive projects to completion while effectively collaborating strategically with others with little supervision
  • Must be able to influence others
