Job Description


The Production Management Technologies team is responsible for enterprise monitoring and event management supporting infrastructure and applications throughout Wells Fargo, and is located in the EIT / ETI / Infrastructure Technology Services / Infrastructure Management Services organization.


Seeking a Global Production Support manager with experience managing approximately 13 FTES across a fast paced environment.

This position requires on-call support 24x7 365 days a year. Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must. This manager will be responsible for 1st level support of Application & Event monitoring environments. Previous experience supporting and managing monitoring tools/products is required.

Daily responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Problem queue management
  • Facilitating problem resolution with engineering team
  • Internal project tracking
  • Communication on critical problems and vendor management

Production support is responsible for ensuring the availability of all our monitoring tools, problem resolution by working closely with our partners and communicating with our senior leaders as appropriate. Responsibilities also include working closely with engineering teams to ensure Production Support teams are aware of additional or new supported initiatives. Managers are also responsible for creating/ maintaining performance plans for the team and mentoring team members for growth.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technology experience
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience, in a technology environment
  • 5 + years of experience with Enterprise Class Event Management tools and services
  • 1+ years of relationship management experience with business and technology partners
  • 1+ years of experience managing a geographically dispersed team

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology monitoring: applications to ensure 24x7 uptime
  • Ability to provide leadership to a virtual or remote team
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology support: applications or service delivery

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Familiar with but not limited to the following monitoring tools: Tivoli Netcool, HP Sitescope, HP APM (BSM), Aternity. Ability to learn and adapt to in-house built tools. Utilized Remedy/ Pac2000 for tickets and change requests including adhering to SLAs.
