Program Overview

The Comcast Center Cooperative Internship Program (Co-op) is a six-month internship program based in the greater Philadelphia area. The program is designed to identify high-caliber talent to build our organization with the best and the brightest students who come from a variety of sourcing channels, including on-campus career fairs, partner organizations, and direct applications. In this role you will immerse yourself into the Comcast culture, working side by side with innovative and talented Comcasters. You will cultivate meaningful relationships and develop strong interpersonal and business skills that will set you apart from your peers.

Additionally, your experience will include:

-Engagement: Working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units at Comcast during your cooperative experience.

-Exposure: An inside look into the day-to-day operations of an organization at the cutting edge of media and technology.

-Professional Development: Exposure to a variety of professional development topics facilitated through our partners at Comcast University and senior leaders within the organization. These sessions include speaker series, skill-building workshops, and networking opportunities.

-Mentorship: Mentoring from fellow colleagues through the Empowering Future Leaders Program (EFLP) to help you navigate your experience, provide coaching, and expand your professional network.

-Fun: Continuously develop relationships with fellow interns through social activities, community building, and networking.

Role Overview

The Technical Project Manager on the TPX Next Generation Access Networks (NGAN) team will work closely with the project and program management teams facilitating the development and deployment of a strategic infrastructure project that is a key part of our overall network innovation objective.

This role will require a strong technology background/aptitude as the deliverable is a highly complex technology effort with multiple cross-functional technical teams and stakeholders.

Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Define E2E project schedules and facilitate common understanding of and commitment to key deliverables across multiple teams.

-Identify milestones, risks/issues and delivery targets and monitor closely to ensure successful on-time and in-scope delivery.

-Facilitate cross-functional discussions to address specific challenges that could impact overall success during development, test, trial or deployment phase of the assigned technology solution.

-Build strong relationships that allow for transparent communications across technical teams, operations, product and stakeholders while maintaining the neutrality needed to be a successful Project Manager.

-Adhere to and demonstrate core NGAN values: courage, curiosity, trust and respect

-Uses project management tools and methodologies including Agile/Scrum to manage the project and align key resources to common definitions and milestones.

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements

-Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university that has aCooperative learning track.

-Major: Business & Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems

-Minimum GPA: 3.2

-Microsoft Office Suite experience including Visio

-Understanding of and/or experience with development lifecycles, including functional and technical specifications, implementation, QA processes, deployment and maintenance.

-Knowledge of IP/Data Networking

-Strong interest in the telecommunications, cable and media industries.

-Authorized to work in the United States of America.
