Job Description

EIT GPMO Portfolio Management and Portfolio Performance & Operations Overview:

The GPMO drives standardization, scalability and consistency across Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) within project and program management services and functions. We provide best in class portfolio management and project execution on behalf of our business and technology partners.  With focus on our partners, team members and execution excellence, we are comprised of three different groups:

-              Portfolio Management:

With the ability to analyze both broadly across the portfolios and deeper into specific portfolios, our PMO leaders work with the CIOs and service domain leaders to ensure investments are effectively managed and in alignment with our vision.

-              Project Coordinator Services:

Delivers EIT portfolio and project management workforce resource staffing in support of the EIT project portfolio execution, delivering technology project management services across Wells Fargo. Maximizing value for Wells Fargo stakeholders through global capabilities for program management, project management and project coordinator services.

-              Process, Tools and Governance:

Ensures that well-informed, prepared and motivated project managers can effectively lead technology projects, while leveraging standard processes and tools to accelerate project value delivery across the enterprise.

The TPC3 position is within the GPMO - Project Coordinator Services. This person will be responsible for coordinating and influencing activities and resources in support of one or more medium to high impact technical projects.

The Technical Project Coordinator 3 is responsible for coordinating project activities in close collaboration with the project manager.  Responsibilities are varied and may include one or more of the following:


  • Gather monthly forecasts and analyze monthly variances 
  • Tracks and reports project and budget status
  • Ensures completion of assigned tasks
  • Identifies project issues and works with project team to provide solutions or escalates to avoid project delays
  • Creates/modifies changes, risks and issues
  • Maintains issue log
  • Works with project teams to develop and document processes and procedures
  • Creates and maintains the project in the project system of record (PM Universal Workstation)
  • Creates meeting agendas
  • Takes and distributes meeting minutes
  • Creates and distributes project and budget status reports
  • Tracks and follows up on project deliverables to ensure:
  • They are completed on time
  • All required content is included
  • Proper approval is received
  • Deliverables are stored in PMUWS
  • Schedules problem reviews and follows up on assigned actions
  • Uploads documents on/to SharePoint site(s)
  • May assist with the coordination project resources
  • Serves as a point of contact for project information and updates

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of technology project support experience
  • 2+ years of experience using project management tools such as Clarity
  • 2+ years of experience managing and reporting on project financials

Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Wells Fargo project management experience
  • Project Management Universal Workstation (PMUWS) experience
  • Exposure to Wells Fargo STAMP (System Time-reporting, Accounting Management for Projects)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Project Methodology (EPM)
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, modeling and tracking
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  •  Experience managing over a 2MM project/program budget
