Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Technical Architect for the Business Technology Workplace Solutions -  TV Distributed, Marketing, & Digital Networks department. The technical Architect ensures new enhancements and systems are built in a way that best ensures that functional requirements are met. Review and improve on existing functionality, making use of new technologies and methodologies to seek continual improvement for existing functionality. Provide high level guidance and direction on project work, making sure the new projects fit in with an overall strategic vision. He/she owns the current and future technical architecture, Development, QA, Executives and the 3rd party service provider team(s) to ensure proper translation of business requirements to application requirements and technical delivery.

  • Owns the synthesized view of the overall technical architecture of CW applications. Researches and provides guidance for technology roadmap for the CW applications.    
  • Ensures the technical application design supports the business process and is compatible with the existing design and integration of WB applications (in the context of the Application Roadmap). Conducts technical application impact analysis for new capabilities and changes to existing capabilities.    
  • Defines application requirements (e.g. response time, availability, transaction volumes).    
  • Creates, designs, reviews and approves technical specifications, including integration between applications and with external entities. Reviews and approves technical and functional specifications as well as test plans with a focus on Integration, Regression, Stress and Performance.     
  • Reviews and approves implementation plans with an emphasis on operations support
What do we require from you?
  • Undergraduate degree or relevant work experience required.
  • At least 10 Years of system design and development.
  • Solid experience in Logical and Physical Database design.
  • Experience in converting functional specifications to technical specifications to be used by offshore developers.
  • Experience developing, monitoring and managing contingent labor.
  • Entertainment industry experience is desired.
  • Good understanding of the supported business unit(s) and their technology.
  • Excellent knowledge of Sybase/MS SQL stored procedures and triggers.
  • Proven data modeling (Logical/Physical), systems design and development experience.
  • Demonstrated application integration and interface design.
  • Excellent knowledge of application architecture and integration of Warner Bros. technologies.
