The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Cards and Retail Services, Deposit Products Group, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Payment Solutions, and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. Its guiding principles are to start with the customer, move faster, and partner effectively.

The Innovation Group, a part of PVSI, is dedicated to serving as the catalyst for transformational change across the company, focusing on fostering the growth of big ideas that will efficiently influence business models, processes, and programs in order to meet evolving customer needs. The team actively partners across the enterprise with business lines, data and analytics, operations, and marketing to provide resources, support, and visibility that will help transform business models, products, and services.

The Innovation Group Research & Development (R&D) Team, within the Innovation Group, focuses on developing and testing next generation, blue-sky experiences. The Innovation and R&D team works side- by-side with several enterprise teams including centralized IT, DMI, Information security and operational risk groups. The ideal candidate will be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and will seek to understand situations in a collaborative manner to help bring about clarity, while working with business leaders, executive sponsors, and key stakeholders to ensure consensus.

The role key responsibilities will include:
• Lead technology research and delivery, consult, develop, enhance, market (directly and virtually), and execute.
•Technology and execution leader with an ability to lead leaders
•Experience in leading Scrum/Agile teams and all the lean project methodologies
•Be accountable for prototype deliverables and responsible for business strategy, customer experience and Insights
• Lead efforts to obtain and analyze customer/competitive information and market research related to the development and testing of emerging technologies; partnering, negotiating and advising with LOBs to obtain input and buy-in
•Determine and architect how data will be used to create digital personalized customer experiences and to anticipate customer needs.
• Negotiate/partner with vendor contracts and manages vendor relationships.
• Conduct extensive vendor/startup analysis to continuously understand emerging technology and how it can be leveraged at Wells Fargo.
•Lead cross-functional teams for product delivery - from product conception to launch.
• Drive competitive analysis to understand the best solutions in market and industry best practices
• Expertise in Mobile, AR/VR, Holograms, Data driven/personalization concepts
•Expertise in Cloud (AWS, Azure etc.,), microservices and containerization technology

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of strategic planning experience
  • 5+ years of management experience

  • Ability to present to senior level executives
  • Experience managing complex projects in a large enterprise environment
  • Ability to present complex concepts to senior management
  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
