Posting Job Description What part will you play?

Warner Bros. Entertainment is looking for a Sr. Specialist, Tech Marketing & Communications for the Program Management Communications department. In this role you’ll focus on developing marketing and communications content in for the WB Tech division, Studio-wide, and industry initiatives. This person will partner with the Director of Marketing and Communications and the VP of Program Management to provide communications counsel and marketing support for the Technology team.
  • Draft and design communications to WB and WB Tech employees and partners. Create, gather, write, edit and post compelling content for WB Tech intranet while assisting with inbound story ideas and requests for postings from various departments. Manage Speakers Bureau and awards program for WB Tech’s technologists. Draft and contribute to company emails, including company-wide and department-specific Technology communications. Draft media relations pitches and responses as necessary. Partner with Director of Marketing and Communications to develop presentations, videos, newsletters, collateral, and more for WB Tech campaigns. Manage WB Tech and WB Tech intranet editorial calendar.
  • Conduct research and initiate outreach to gather information for key marketing content. Create and administer promotions such as product giveaways, contests, sweepstakes, etc. that engage employees and educate them about WB Tech’s offerings. Manage department premium item orders, such as t-shirts, giveaways, etc. Conduct research for department projects, as assigned. Initiate social media campaigns in support of key events and activities.   
  • Partner with Director of Marketing and Communications and VP of Program Management to develop communication initiatives that support culture and team activities including posters, email campaigns, and presentation support. 

What do we require from you?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field required.
  • Content development experience required; previous experience writing about a variety of topics and for diverse audiences preferred.
  • Experience in participating in large-scale marketing and programs preferred.
  • Previous experience in developing and implementing web-based communications a plus.
  • Previous experience in graphic design and layout a plus.
  • Social media engagement experience a plus.
  • Media relations experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in a communications or marketing firm or technology company helpful.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and problem-solving skills required; knowledge of AP Style a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to adapt content and voice for application to new initiatives and materials preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery of quality content.
  • Event planning and coordination experience preferred.
  • HTML or content management tool experience a plus.
  • PC Skills: PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel skills required; familiarity with Outlook and Skype preferred.
  • Experience with WordPress or other web platforms preferred.
  • Experience with Photoshop or other graphic design software preferred. Previous experience managing outsourced graphic design and printing projects preferred.
  • Experience with basic video editing a plus.
  • Strong interest in technology required.
  • Must have excellent time management skills, including the ability to balance multiple projects.
