Sr Sourcing Manager

Overall
Purpose


We are looking
for a Senior Sourcing Manager to primarily support Mobility and Entertainment
Group. This position is integral for our growth and success. This position will
manage, negotiate, monitor and strategically source vendor
contracts/sub-contracts specifically for Mobility & Entertainment Group,
primarily Software, Support and Services, but may include Hardware. This role
is best suited for an individual who thrives on change and has change
management experience leading change across a category, business function, or
organization.

Key Roles
and Responsibilities


Provides
interpretation of terms and conditions of contractual obligations. Negotiate
contract modifications, follow-up quotations, revisions, terms and conditions
with vendors.


Responsible
for the review and administration of long-term and/or blanket purchase
contracts, RFP processes. Responsible for commercial contract issues and terms,
negotiations and/or administration agreements including renewal, new business,
invoicing, credit holds, receivable issues and consolidations.

Managing
strategic relationships with business unit owners and vendors, understanding of
application of numerous corporate policies and stakeholder groups, identifying
and mitigating complex legal and compliance issues.


Sourcing
of vendors, familiarity and/or interest in emerging technology focusing on
related services/hardware/software, ability to gain understanding of industry
to make educated recommendations about pricing, vendor selection, competition,
market compression, optimization, etc.


Works
closely with technical and financial teams to ensure lifecycle management for
services, hardware, or software contracts across the enterprise.


Establish
key contract frameworks and KPIs for optimal vendor performance.


Administers
contracts in accordance with company and customer policies and procedures,
provide interpretation and analysis of contract documents and reviews and
evaluates customer requests for changes in or revisions of contracts that
involve technical specifications, cost, or schedule impact on the company.

Assists
in the development of long and short-term objectives to ensure that programs
and efforts are directed toward achieving company goals and cost savings. Lead
sourcing project stakeholders to think globally & strategically to frame
new and complex issues. May initiate corrective action to assure objectives are
met.


Assist
in evaluation of new technologies and vendors.


Assists
in the establishment and administration of business unit policies, procedures
and systems.


Manages
communication cadence and transparency for new requests with business unit
business operations team, finance, technical teams, and global supply chain
.

Participates
in the development of forecasts and budgets for area of responsibility.

Works
on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth
evaluation of variable factors.

Exercises
judgment in selecting methods and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.



Required
Qualifications:

  • Minimum Graduate/Bachelor’s
    degree in Business Administration with Procurement, business law or CPM
    experience, or Graduate/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

  • Five or more years’ experience
    in management of strategic supplier relationships and contracts.

  • Ability to clearly define processes
    in loosely structured situations

  • Ability to manage intense
    workload with short time frames

  • Ability to learn and understand
    AT&T’s internal and external Cloud strategy, Open Source Software, Virtual
    Network Functions and network architectures

  • Strong leadership, negotiation,
    legal drafting of custom language and excellent interpersonal, written,
    and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated, with initiative
    and the ability to take ownership of, and follow through, with specific
    tasks

  • Business, cost management and
    quality experience

  • Familiarity with standard
    procurement and contract management systems, other third- party
    information systems and ability to learn proprietary systems

  • Ability to build processes and
    drive continuous process improvement and automation across categories

  • Skilled in independently
    creating and generating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and “What-If”
    scenario financial modeling and analysis for complex comparative sourcing
    events

  • Understanding of complex
    contractual terms and conditions including intellectual property ownership

  • Ability to generate
    comprehensive commercial deal sheet terms by fully understanding client
    requirements, usage and budget forecasts, supplier products/services and
    defining flexibility terms to adequately support contractual use by
    multiple business unit

  • Strong Business Acumen

  • Juris Doctor degree a plus

  • Experience sourcing for Media
    and Entertainment infrastructure a plus
