The Highlights
The Spectrum Enterprise Senior Human Resources Generalist will provide comprehensive Human Resources (HR) support to Spectrum Enterprise business leaders, acting as a trusted partner and advisor in order to advance business objectives through human capital practices. This position will administer HR policies and programs, balancing employee advocacy and business needs. The role will promote equity, fair treatment and positive employee relations while ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will also perform advanced employee relations functions, including support, investigation and counseling related to sensitive personnel and job-related conflicts.

What You Will Do

  • Build credible relationships with leaders to improve decision-making, communications and organizational effectiveness
  • Proactively identify and resolve complex matters
  • Understand business priorities, ensuring HR activities support these goals
  • Plan for long-term human resources needs and trends
  • Formulate objectives and programs to meet management goals
  • Ensure policies are administered fairly and consistently communicate changes
  • Facilitate the recruitment and retention of talent from internal and external sources
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR issues and employment law
  • Conduct employee and supervisor training including benefits, policies and procedures and prevention of harassment and discrimination
  • Manage performance issues, assess termination requests, conduct exit interviews
  • Mentor and coach colleagues and act as a resource for those with less experience
  • Coordinate Leave of Absence programs, transitional work and accommodations
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Complete entries to the HRIS database
  • Perform other duties as needed, including attending trainings and meetings

Required Keys for Success

  • Five or more years of Human Resources Generalist experience
  • Conducts self with integrity, maintaining confidentiality and sound judgement
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritization and organization skills
  • Collaborative team player with ability to work independently
  • Adept at working with all levels and disciplines within organization
  • Experience dealing with employees in a professional manner
  • Knowledge of staffing and employment practices
  • Excellent communication skills

Your Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (preferred)
