We are hiring a Senior Analyst for our Investor Relations team. This role works across all investor relations activities - preparing senior leadership for investor and analyst interactions (i.e., quarterly earnings, conferences), development of collateral materials  (i.e., earnings press releases, investor presentations, Annual report) understanding key drivers of our business results, analyzing consensus estimates/modeling our financial results from an external perspective, engaging with investors and analysts, researching key topics, and tracking clients/competitors, among other responsibilities.  Investor relations is at the forefront of investor/analyst engagement and works with leaders across Nielsen's organization.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Financial:

  • Own the analyst estimate model to track analyst models on Nielsen
  • Ad hoc financial analyses

Benchmarking and research:

  • Manage and update client scorecard
  • Evaluate and analyze analyst reports, develop summaries and send to key internal parties
  • Competitive benchmarking
  • Research key topics on an ad hoc basis

Investor and analyst communications:

  • Develop relationships with investors and analysts
  • Initially, help team prep for investor/analyst calls; over time this person will speak directly with investors/analysts
  • Help structure analyst and investor meetings with senior management / participate in these meetings

Other:

  • Manage Investor Relations website
  • Earnings: Develop key points for initial senior leadership discussion; prepare press releases; develop Q&A docs to anticipate analyst questions; participate in all earnings prep meetings in Wilton with senior leadership. Manage development of slide deck used during earnings call.  
  • Investor Day preparation, includes oversight of slide production
  • Annual Report; own production of annual report which includes close coordination with the outside design firm, in-house legal, comms and various other groups

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 2-4 years of experience in financial or analytical role preferred; candidates from other disciplines such as communications or marketing will be considered; a sound understanding of basic finance principles is required
  • Excellent communication and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting principles
  • Proficient in Powerpoint / Google slides
  • Advanced Excel; ready to learn Bloomberg; and Google Sheets proficiency
  • Self-motivated with ability to define, structure and prioritize work for self and flexibility and capability to change priorities when circumstances dictate
  • Bachelor’s degree
