Warner Bros. Technology seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer for the Workplace Engineering Department. The role of the Sr. Systems Engineer is to meet application services business needs through the backend configuration, design, development, implementation and support of workstation deployment platforms, workstation configuration platforms, security applications and cloud infrastructure services. In addition, the role implements identity and access management policies and well as security policies as they apply to workstations, laptops, printers and servers. The Engineer is expected to demonstrate high level technical skills and will also be responsible for staying current on rapidly changing technologies.
  • Provides backend configuration, maintenance and support for workstation services and security applications including but not limited to System Center Configuration Manager, Active Directory, Windows Server and other various endpoint services platforms.
  • Plans detailed requirements for new and changing infrastructure services.
  • Builds and test pilot versions for new and changing services.
  • Creates solution documentation.
  • Provides senior technical troubleshooting incident and problem resolution for endpoint services platform offerings.
  • Manages overall security frameworks and practices as they pertain to the desktop services platforms.
  • Partners with client and portfolio owners to assist with technology implementation initiatives across the business units.
  • Develop administration automation scripts and infrastructure automation procedures to streamline management and administration of client services platforms.
  • Technical skillset and personal development, research and development.
What do we require from you?
  • BA/BS degree in relevant preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Certification a plus.
    • Microsoft Certified Engineer.
    • ITIL Foundation.
    • Cloud-specific certification.
  • Preferred 7 to 9 years’ experience in workstation technology engineering and IT management.
  • Preferred 3 years’ experience in identity and access management and/or security engineering.
  • Preferred 3 years’ experience in System Center Configuration Manager and OSD.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python or scripting / automation equivalent.
  • Experience in Active Directory and or equivalent identity store.
  • Experience with core networking principals including, WAN/LAN/MPLS/IPSEC, IP Services, DNS, and cloud IaaS networking practices.
  • Storage and virtualization experience.
  • Experience in engineering applications, servers and storage.
  • Experience in analyzing systems and modifying existing operations to add value.
  • Experience in requirements engineering, solution architecture, design, development and deployment.
  • Experience in System Center Configuration Manager and complex SCCM constructs.
  • Experience in Operating System Deployment.
  • Experience in application packaging and distribution at enterprise scale.
  • Experience in Windows OS (10/8.1/7).
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in person and on the telephone.
  • Must be able to pay close attention to complex detail and understand written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.
  • Must be able to work well under time constraints.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.
