The Senior Solution Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Liaise with the client and IBM GBS teams to gather solution requirements, client expectations and contribute in defining value proposition.
  • Develop and optimize the solution leveraging IBM and Industry benchmarks, technical deliverability requirements and competitive bid metrics
  • Lead Architecture/Solution decisions; build solution using IBM and other estimating tools and take end to end ownership of cost estimates
  • Engage in client workshops, oral presentations and SOW /Proposal development
  • Leverage IBM offerings, services, accelerators, assets, delivery centers, delivery models, hardware and software products while building the solution
  • Needs to have complete understanding on IBM cost and estimating tools (e.g. SDM GPE, SDM Cost etc) and continuously learn on the latest tools, technologies, processes, offerings, delivery and pricing models

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

4-6 years of solutioning and industry experience. Specific skills and expertise areas include:
  • Automation approaches, assets and tools and how they impact Application Management (e.g. Ticket analytics)
  • Cloud solutions including Cloud Migrations, Application Modernization
  • Application Development and Dev Ops.
  • Understanding of Base case analysis, Financial modelling and IBM tools
  • Good understanding of delivering of AMS solutions and Service levels in a Cloud and non-Cloud environment

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

6-10 years experience. Some recommended certifications (not mandatory) include:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Selling and consulting certification
  • Insurance industry knowledge
