The Senior Portfolio Manager is a regional leadership position responsible for the Southern California Commercial Banking markets. The SPM manages and directs the activities of the market's portfolio managers, a team of experienced credit professionals, who manage the credit risk of the market's Commercial Bank C&I portfolio.

The incumbent will report to the Chief Credit Officer of the Commercial Bank, who reports directly to the head of the Commercial Bank. The SPM is responsible to recruit, develop and manage the Portfolio Management teams and ensure credit process is efficient and credit risk management is effective and in compliance with bank policy and Federal/State regulations.

The position works closely with the Regional Market Leader, the Relationship Manager Team Leaders and the Relationship Managers to achieve market revenue goals while maintaining overall portfolio credit quality. Close collaboration between the SPM and the PM team and Credit Risk Management is equally crucial to ensure origination activities and ongoing portfolio management are consistent with the bank's credit appetite.


Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
- 10 years of commercial lending experience with evidenced knowledge of commercial credit products and markets, loan structuring and negotiation strategies.
