Senior Payroll Processing Specialist- 2nd Shift

Responsible for ensuring client payrolls are received, calculated and processed. Addresses routine payroll processing errors and escalates to Production Support Services as necessary. Ensures all service deliverables and requirements are met (e.g. W-2's, tax filing, data integrity, payroll reporting, data backup, and client escalations) and communicates to Client Services when required per SLA's. Performs daily, weekly and monthly audits of clientsystem data. Manages daily maintenance of hardware as required for payroll processing. Audits electronic packaging and transmission for third party vendors (e.g. FedEx, FSA, WinFlex, etc.) Communicates and provides World Class Service to internal client base located on-site and remotely throughout the country. Develops strong business partnerships with internal counterparts in Client Services, Technical Services, Client Information Services, Information Services, Comprehensive Outsourcing, and Software Support Services.

  • Reviews and monitors payroll processing and payroll related data. Validates client worksheets, masterfile data, and manual checks. Integrates newly added business units into the Payroll system. Processes multi-state and multi-jurisdiction payrolls, Application Hosting and Comprehensive Outsourcing payrolls. Applies client payroll policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all applicable SAS70/Sox Audit Procedures.
  • Resolves issues that create payroll errorsdata restores, thereby reducing exposure to missed client service deliverables, penalties and interest resulting from late tax deposits. Work with internal support teams for timely resolution of all outstanding payroll and tax issues.
  • Monitors Internal Call Center loop for internal client andCRM to research and resolve all issues. Use CRM to createaddress activities.
  • Performs daily and quarterly processing of tax files including electronic packaging, reconciliation and problem resolution, reducing exposure to penalties and interest resulting from late tax deposits.
  • Performs daily data gather and data distribution to internal clients.
  • Performs client side data validation downloads of payroll data for Comprehensive Outsourcing clients.
  • Performs DailyWeeklyMonthly Data integrity validations through documented procedures which reduces the risk of missed client service deliverables and failed SAS70SOX Audits.
  • Monitors system hardware for availability and manages around payroll processing volume. Performs daily hardware maintenance (e.g. reboot, purging of data files)
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert and Functional Area Representative on projects. Provides team with escalation support during complex error resolution. Keeps department updated on procedures and documentation. Provides assistance and technical support to all internal clients.
