We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting for the Domestic TV Distribution (DTVD) Accounting department. This individual will be responsible for order to cash duties including, but not limited to, review and approval of all new and amended contracts as well as invoicing and cash application for DTVD which sells Warner Bros. Theatrical and Television product in the Pay TV, Cable, Broadcast Network, Streaming Video on Demand (SVOD), Advertising Video on Demand (AVOD), Syndication (cash & barter ad sales) and Digital/Online markets. Specifically, the responsibilities will include: 
  • Overseeing all contract maintenance for Syndication, Cable, Network, SVOD and AVOD deals as well as invoicing, and cash application in DTVD’s A/R subsystem including accurate interpretation and review of sales contract information.  
  • Liaising with the Cable Sales, Contract Administration, Sales Planning and Product Inventory, Legal, Credit & Collections, and Finance Departments for all internal workflow; and performing the same function for external correspondence with Pay TV, Broadcast Network, Syndication, Cable, SVOD and AVOD customers.
  • Overseeing/reviewing payment schedules and license fee allocations for the Domestic Cable, SVOD, AVOD distribution deals to assist Sales, Business Affairs & Operations groups.
  • Overseeing and approving accruals for all media for monthly/quarterly financial statements closes, provide variance explanations to the Finance and By-Title Reporting groups for closes, budgets and forecasts, and provide guidance on payment terms for contracts extended over one (1) year to calculate the Imputed Interest Discount on long term contracts.
  • Reviewing WB Joint Ventures cash flow schedules utilizing COSMOS and factoring in pending deals to facilitate tax provision reporting.
  • Reviewing and approving the revenue by client report for all media for the quarterly Footnotes submissions to the corporate Financial Reporting & Budgeting (FRB) department and oversees monthly cash and advance payment reconciliations.
  • Preparing the Balance Sheet reconciliation between COSMOS (AR Subsystem) and the SAP General Ledger, identify reconciling items and proposes corrective action.
  • Coordinating the compilation of schedules and responses to facilitate reviews and audits performed by both internal and external auditors as well as the Tax Department and contribute to the preparation of on-going updates of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act compliance documentation narratives.  
  • Being a key participant in system replacement initiatives and represent the department as a subject matter expert on relevant business functions.
What do we require from you?
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years previous experience in accounting and must have previous experience managing staff.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Access and Word.
