The Savings Plan and Equity Compensation (SPEC) team is part of the Corporate Treasury function. Their mission is to provide best-in-class service and expertise to participants and business partners by managing the Global Long-Term Incentive Plan (Equity Awards), US Savings Plans (401K), and Treasury Stock Purchase Plan for Johnson & Johnson in accordance with GAAP, Plan documents, and government regulations.

The SPEC team is responsible for the global administration and accounting for the Savings Plans and Equity Award Plans that touch almost 100,000 current and former employees. This position is a newly created role that will be focused on data analytics, project management and execution, as well as reporting/reporting optimization across all the Plans. Equity Award Administration and Savings Plan analytics have just transitioned to a new provider and reporting platform respectively and we are looking to optimize functionality and capabilities for both and ensure global Plan compliance. This position will partner with Total Rewards, Legal, Health & Benefits, and Finance (Tax, Consolidations, Acquisitions and Payroll) as well as critical vendors (Fidelity and Alight).

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Divestiture Support: Project management, execution, data analytics for Johnson & Johnson divestitures as they relate to the supported Plans
  • Acquisition Support: Project management and integration of acquired companies’ 401Ks into the Savings Plan.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Global reporting and analytics for accounting, taxation, Total Rewards and statutory requirements; optimizing the processes and approach.
  • Ad-hoc projects: Represent SPEC team on projects that require integration/data interface with SPEC technology platforms. Complete ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Individual must be analytical, process-focused and have the ability to shift between big-picture orientation and detailed information. They need strong analytical skills to assess large data sets, understand the request/challenge, and design and implement streamlined approaches that reduce non-value-added activities and strengthen processes and controls. Must be a strong business partner able to influence stakeholders on cross-functional teams. Must have the ability to work well in ambiguous circumstances and champion continuous process improvements and benchmark best practices.  Must have strong project planning and time management skills. Self-motivated and proactive problem solver adept at achieving results individually and working in a collaborative team environment.  Must be able to work in a matrix environment.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution is required. 
  • A Master’s degree and/or CPA/CMA is preferred.  
  • A minimum 3+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or related business field is required   
  • Strong collaboration and analytical skills required.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements such as Sarbanes Oxley and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.   
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required (i.e. Pivot Tables, Formulas, and VLOOKUP).
  • This position will be located in New Brunswick, NJ
