This Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) role has ownership of talent acquisition financing decisions and hiring strategies for the U.S. DePuy Synthes salesforce; this includes financial modeling of compensation offers and market opportunities for the potential hiring of new sales consultants across the Joint Reconstruction, Trauma, Craniomaxillofacial, and Sports Medicine platforms.

  • Be a strategic business partner to the DePuy Synthes Area Vice Presidents and Regional Managers on all competitive hiring strategies, responsible for limiting financial risk and overall deal costs
  • Analyze the sales data and identify trends to help understand what drives success
  • Responsible for sales reporting/tracking to measure performance for all executed deals
  • Be the Commercial Finance lead for the continued support of two recent acquisitions within the DePuy Synthes Spine portfolio
  • Provide overall financial guidance to the integration teams to maximize long-term value creation consistent with the key performance drivers identified during the diligence process
  • Help the business to perform semi-annual financial planning updates for both projects and report back to the New Business Development team on a regular basis to review actual performance versus the original deal estimates

    • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; Accounting, Finance degree is preferred
    • A CPA, CMA, MBA or other financial certifications are preferred  
    • A minimum of three (3) years business experience is required  
    • Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and/or consumer products industry is preferred
    • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred (i.e.: VLOOKUP functions, formulas, pivot tables)
    • Candidate must possess excellent analytical, conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills 
    • The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required
    • Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • The ability to effectively take on leadership roles in various functions is required
    • This position may require up to 5% domestic travel
