We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the WB Digital Networks DC Universe finance team, managing the new digital service launching in 2018. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic start-up like environment within a large company.  Reporting to a Director of Finance, this position will primarily be responsible for supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, providing day-to-day operational finance support, and overseeing the revenue cycle. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Managing the revenue cycles by reviewing partner statements, analyzing growth from various service streams, identifying periodic accruals, and reconciling cash.
  • Reviewing actuals against forecast and fine-tuning short-term budgets.
  • Assisting maintenance and update of the complex financial model and analyzing long-term growth.
  • Preparing recurring and ad-hoc financial reports to management for business decision support.
  • Regularly interacting with the corporate accounting group to enable accurate financial close by providing insights on latest business developments.
  • Coordinating with various business units within Warner Bros. for timely and accurate intercompany transfer of content costs.
  • Maintaining the content amortization schedule for both budgeting and actual purposes.
  • Coordinating with marketing and operation team members to maintain detail record of expenditures and providing feedback for profit and loss pacing.
  • Preparing and submitting periodic budget reports to Digital Network Group management and corporate reporting group.
  • Forecasting cash flows and reconciling to P&L budget.
  • Reviewing open purchase orders and providing periodic expense accruals.
What do we require from you?
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or relevant major.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in general finance, budgeting, financial reporting, public accounting, and/or financial consulting.
  • Experience in general ledger management and research as well as thorough understanding of US-GAAP balance sheet and P&L.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially in Excel formulas and tools.
Bonus points for:
  • CPA and/or MBA degree.
  • Strong affinity with Warner Bros. and DC intellectual properties.
  • Prior experience in entertainment, especially in digital SVOD distribution.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with SAP and Business Warehouse (BEX Analyzer).
