Senior DevOps Engineer - 0220

DUTIES: Provide technical leadership within teams responsible for utilizing Agile development methodologies to develop the next generation billing and activation platform; design, build, and operate the infrastructure and technology powering Comcast's cloud service platform, including utilizing WebLogic, Tomcat, and JBoss to perform enterprise middleware systems administration for [400 servers]; perform continuous integration/continuous deployment utilizing CloudFoundry and tools such as Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, and GOCD; utilize various development languages for automation, including Puppet, Python, Shell, and Perl; utilize monitoring tools such as Nagios, Wily, and AppDynamics; build, maintain, and support IT infrastructure utilizing OpenStack and CloudFoundry; deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot the OpenStack application in a Cloud environment; support multiple applications and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for uptime and availability; troubleshoot cross-platform transactions in a distributed multi-datacenter environment; troubleshoot transaction failures and determine root causes (e.g. network, database, SAN, application, connectivity, etc.) within an application environment; ensure projects are fully integrated into the operations environment, including performing lifecycle problem management from front-line CARE through Engineering; create data and metric systems to track operational workflows, maintain records of results and feedback, analyze data and metrics, identify problem areas, and provide actionable insight to management; perform complex and routine maintenance tests for designated areas of engineering, identify, isolate, and escalate issues to appropriate personnel, and ensure that all maintenance is properly validated to minimize subscriber impact to (ideally) zero; contribute to design considerations for new products or architectural changes to existing products; assist with or lead efforts to build new application infrastructure, coordinating efforts across teams; analyze problems in design, configuration, data flow, and data state within a highly-complex, multi-product provisioning system; and mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior-level engineers.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and five (5) years of experience in enterprise middleware systems administration (minimum 400 servers) using WebLogic, Tomcat, or JBoss, of which one (1) year includes performing continuous integration/continuous deployment with CloudFoundry
