Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Description:
The ADP Technical Security Services Engineering Team is responsible for the implementation and management of all security technologies delivered by the Global Security Organization (GSO). This would include global deployments of host, network, and data protection security tools in physical and cloud environments.

The Senior Cyber Security Engineer must have a deep understanding of networking, various operating systems, and cloud technologies. They would be required to interact with the Converged Security Architecture Team, Project Management Team, and global IT Teams to deliver solutions and enhance the security program.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Function as a subject matter expert (SME) for cloud technologies
  • Providing enhanced solutions through product integrations and automation
  • Documenting technical implementations and processes to facilitate operational handoff 
  • Consulting with the Critical Incident Response Center (CIRC) to determine effectiveness of deployed technologies and opportunities for enhancement
  • Assistance and partnership with CIRC for critical investigations
  • Liaise with the Project Management Office for tracking all deployment efforts
  • Function as an internal consultant for various business units providing overviews and demonstrations on various security technologies
  • Assist with performing technical and competitive analysis of security solutions
  • Liaise with the Security Operations Team to deploy, upgrade and maintain global security solutions
  • Establish processes for security design and deployment best practices


Experience, Skills, Academic:

  • 1-3 years of experience working with one or more cloud technologies: Microsoft Azure, AWS Amazon Web Services, Google
  • Working knowledge and experience with databases and data warehouse technologies and solutions
  • Experience with systems automation / API integration in a major scripting language (Perl, Python, etc.)
  • Excellent understanding of TCP/IP and network communications
  • Strong experience with both Windows and *nix operating environments
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal presentation and written communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to present to small groups and high level executives
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity, be trustworthy, and have the ability to work independently
  • Able to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff


Education:

  • BS in Information Systems or equivalent
  • Any of the following are a plus: CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, GSEC
