This position will report to the Customer Interactions Data Product Team Lead within the Technology of Data group in the Enterprise Information Technology organization.  The Customer Interactions Data Product Team provides day to day management of the Customer Interactions Data Product. The Senior Developer will fill a key role on the team to provide development and oversight of Big Data ETL processes – both in support of existing code as well as development of new functionality. This position will become a subject matter expert in all Customer Interactions data processing as well as message publication, event recognition, and creation of downstream data products. In this capacity, the person in this position will work with other Customer Interactions Data Product team members, upstream data providers, and downstream users to ensure efficient and accurate development and support of the Customer Interactions Data Product and downstream data products. The successful candidate will be versed in Hadoop with proven experience in building processes and/or solutions using open source tools (Python, Sala, etc).  They should also have strong communication skills and be able to collaborate with technical and non-technical partners.  The candidate will have the opportunity to thrive in a flexible/agile application development environment.  

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 3+ years of Big Data experience
  • 3+ years of Hadoop experience
  • 3+ years of experience with open source tools such as Python, R or SCALA
  • 5+ years of application development experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 3+ years of Java experience
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 2+ years of Agile experience
  • 5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Ab Initio
  • 4+ years of relational database experience
  • 3+ years of financial services industry experience
  • Experience developing, supporting or integrating messaging technology such as Solace, Tibco or MQ
  • 3+ years of application production support experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Proven experience working within the SPARK framework (>= 1 year)
  • Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with automation tools like AutoSys
  • Experience with various Ab Initio tools including Acquire>It, BRE, ACE, Express>IT, Control Center
  • Experience with code promotion tools
  • Experience with support of an enterprise application
  • Experience with Event Processing capabilities
  • Working knowledge of Teradata or Oracle
  • Knowledge of project management concepts
