Senior Associate, Change Management

Description About the Position: National Grid is undergoing an exciting transformation to create an enhanced, easy, and frictionless customer experience. The Senior Associate, Change Management (CM) has a critical role in supporting the transformation by delivering robust change programs. This role will provide CM to ongoing Customer Experience Transformation (CXT) projects. The Senior Associate will complete CM deliverables, conduct stakeholder management activities, draft communications and coordinate training for projects within the Customer organization. To be successful this role will have to work closely with the Manager, Change Management, project teams, and other key stakeholders as it will be the combined performance of their teams that drives the business value. Primary responsibilities include executing CM activities for CXT projects and providing timely and effective completion of change management deliverables. The Senior Associate will monitor and report on progress against the change plan. Reports to the Director, Change Management and applies knowledge and concept of CM toolkits to steer project deliverables to completion. Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Provide support as part of a project team for the execution of CM strategies and plans to drive sustainable change within the Customer organization. Lead stakeholder meetings to identify and assess change impacts to people, process, and technology. Monitor and report on change plan to key stakeholders to track progress towards goals. Monitor and track change adoption key performance indicators and metrics to ensure the sustainability of the change. Lead workforce transitions strategies and plans as roles are added, moved or removed to ensure a successful transition to future state. Guide engagement efforts with change agent networks to cascade information and increase change adoption at the peer-to-peer level in the Customer organization. Support development and delivery of training programs (with the Training organization) to educate stakeholders on the new skills required as a result of the change. Draft and deploy project communications to set expectations and clearly articulate what’s changing. Follow the CM approach and use the CM toolkit and templates for delivering CM projects to promote standardization of CM processes across CXT projects. Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years in a change management related role Knowledge of formal change management methodologies and processes Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Drives for results Excellent written / oral communication skills, and follow-up skills Qualifications Preferred: Master’s Degree in a business related field Effective collaboration and partnership capabilities Background in Utility service business activities and projects Knowledge of business processes (customer facing processes a plus) to provide guidance and feedback when supporting development of OD project plans.
