The Senior Analyst, Consumer Insights will be a key contributor to a newly formed corporate Consumer Insights Team at Turner. The Senior Analyst will support the Consumer Insights Director in building, delivering and implementing a foundational research program to arm Turner with deep consumer knowledge to guide product and experience development and identify new monetization opportunities for the company. The foundational Consumer Insights research that the Senior Analyst will help deliver will be used to guide corporate strategy, new monetization opportunities, direct to consumer product and experience development and marketing strategy. Core foundational research studies will include an ongoing program focused on consumer intelligence, identifying and tracking trends at the intersection of consumers, content and technology, distilling the relationship between consumers and their data, and mapping how and why content decision are made.

What will you be doing? 
The Senior Analyst will work with the Consumer Insights Director to Build, Deliver and Implement Foundational Research including:
  • Work with Brand research teams to: o Gather input to ensure strong connection points between key research initiatives at the corporate consumer insights and brand levels
o Help integrate brand needs into research to ensure research does not duplicate activities at the brand level and adds to a broad and deep understanding of the consumer across the organization
o Help with implementing foundational research by providing the brands with the tools to customize insights to support their individual businesses
 
  • Execute and, on occasion, lead consumer insights studies including:
o Providing input on research design
o Managing all fieldwork including scheduling, project milestones, quality control and troubleshooting
o Working collaboratively to shape deliverables
 
  • Work with Director to ensure all field materials reflect core study objectives and are methodologically sound, including:
o Reviewing screeners, moderator/discussion guides, questionnaires and other key project documents
o Testing questionnaires before they go live
o Checking deliverables including all data/insights output for accuracy
 
  • Work with Consumer Insights team to drive research implementation with key stakeholders including:
o Organizing and managing logistics for workshops with key stakeholder groups
o Supporting development of ongoing deliverables for embedding insights into the business
o Helping organize and manage all initiatives that involve building products, experiences or strategies from core insight territories derived from foundational research (including co-creation sessions, workshops and other forms of consumer centric product/experience development)
 
Additionally, the Senior Analyst will be expected to:
  • Builds relationships with corporate strategy, brands research teams, product teams and research vendors to share information, accomplish work, manage and/or improve processes.
  • Assists as requested with various research processes, reports, and projects. Work is subject to supervisory review at frequent intervals.
  • Performs work to support the team in the form of defined tasks, while being efficient and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work on initiatives that regularly require the application of independent judgment.
  • This role will report to the Consumer Insights Director

What do we need from you?
  • 3+ years of experience on the brand/client side or with a market research vendor doing consumer insights research
  • Bachelor's degree or higher required.
  • Experience with how and when to use different consumer insights methods including both qualitative and quantitative tools
  • Ability to identify and connect core themes and insights within and across research initiatives
  • Strong writer, data storytelling ability.
  • Excellent communications skills (written, presentation and verbal) is a must.
  • High proficiency in Excel, Pivot Tables and Macros, PowerPoint, and MS Word applications
  • Demonstrates the ability to collaborate, meet deadlines, and produce accurate and well thought out results/deliverables
