We invite qualified applicants for the role of Security Architect. This role is part of the Information Security team within Global Information Technology. This is an integral role in leading, developing and implementing a comprehensive information security program which essentially includes but is not limited to Mobile Application Management and Mobile Application Development Platforms, DLP Programs, DDOS Program, IAM Program, CASB Saas Providers, Corporate Security Systems Architecture, overall new Technology Assessment & Selection, and Engineering Standards & Blueprint development.


Primary Responsibilities:


● Develop and engineer cutting edge security solutions to enhance Colgate’s overall program, which will be a combination of services, software and custom developed applications

● Develop and deliver Security Architecture artifacts that integrate and aggregate the solutions for business applications and technology infrastructure with company systems including our vendor supported applications

● Develop and build systems capable of monitoring security controls, policies and procedures and critical cyber security activities

● Liaise with the enterprise architecture team to ensure alignment between the security and enterprise architectures, thus coordinating the strategic planning implicit in these architectures

● Consult on integration and conversion activities. Recommend technologies to facilitate service integration

● Initiate activities to optimize or enhance enterprise services architecture offerings

● Participate in technology evaluations and assessments

● Proactive determination of potential security vulnerabilities and identification of viable solutions to manage associated risks.

● Manage the planning, execution and remediation of potential findings of “Penetration Tests” for on premise and cloud based applications, as well network infrastructure

● Manage the end-to-end implementation of new technologies relevant to the area of responsibility

● Assist in the development of security and advancement strategy, policy, risk assessments, and innovation

● Apply business priorities and risk related to technical processes.


Basic​ ​Qualifications


● Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Engineering

● Minimum 8 years of experience in an IT organization developing, configuring, and implementing database management solutions (or equivalent),

● 2+ years of experience with systems engineering of information systems

● Demonstrated experience with Python, C or Javascript

● Knowledge or Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP cloud services

● Knowledge of Application Authentication design best practices

● Knowledge of endpoint security software  


Preferred​ ​Qualifications


● Experience with Cyber security forensics tools and methodologies

● Knowledge or Experience with Firewalls, Proxy Servers and VPNs

● Knowledge or Experience of security certificates & public key infrastructure

● Knowledge and ability to investigate and debug at multiple OSI layers

● SOA Architecture and Security certification


Key​ ​Competencies


● Development experience with Python, C or Javascript required.

● Familiar with Database technology: Microsoft SQL Server, SAP HANA In-memory Database or noSQL databases.

● Ability to quickly assimilate new technologies, tools, internal/external systems and design frameworks is an essential requirement. Strong and broad technology background is greatly preferred.

● Ability to think with a security mindset. Must have a strong IT background with in depth knowledge of corporate application access control, network routing and packet analysis and cyber threat analysis.

● Strong knowledge of application architecture, development and secure coding practices.

● Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to interact directly with others that do not have a technical background
