Salesforce Marketing Cloud Manager- Consumer Markets

A career in our Salesforce Service practice, within Salesforce Consulting services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients leverage Salesforce technology to enhance their customer experiences, enable sustainable change, and drive results. We focus on understanding our client’s challenges and developing custom solutions powered by Salesforce to transform their sales, service and marketing capabilities by exploring data and identifying trends, managing customer life cycles, strategically building and leveraging online communities, driving employee engagement and collaboration, and connecting directly with channel partners to share goals, objectives, and activities in a secure, branded location. As part of our service team, you’ll help deliver transformative applications for the mobile and social connected enterprise through Salesforce. You’ll help our clients build custom applications to transform the customer experience through improved service by providing real time access to information across channels.


As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
  • Train, coach, and supervise staff
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Preferred Knowledge/Skills: 
Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: 
- Product positioning leveraging feature to benefit analysis; 
- Sales process and methodologies; 
- Strategic and technical thinking with the ability to consultatively engage with customers to quickly make complex decisions and lead customer facing discussions; 
- Technical proficiency with Network Protocols and Services such as DNS, HTTP or, HTTPS; 
- Web-based On-Demand software solutions and familiarity with multi-tier, high availability application server environments and data architecture/schema; 
- Service Oriented Architecture; 
- Supervision of teams to create an atmosphere of trust and seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; and, 
- Development skills including Server Side Scripting techniques and applications, RDBMS and PL/SQL, WebServices, SOAP and REST APIs, Object oriented programming and design with .NET, Java, and/or PHP.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: 
- Leading consultative engagements with clients on the technical and business challenges related to their e-communication initiatives; 
- Presenting high-level overviews of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture and integration capabilities; 
- Creating, managing and presenting an actionable BRD/FSD (Blueprint) that aligns a client's business needs to that of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions; 
- Managing multiple client engagements and working with associated team members; 
- Identifying project issues / risks and present alternatives to alleviate or resolve; 
- Creating BRD and FSD documentation; 
- Demonstrates experience with eMail Marketing, Internet Marketing tools and strategies; and, 
- Producing deliverables within a diverse, fast paced environment, collaborating effectively across global teams and juggling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
