Salesforce Business Analyst

About the position

We are seeking a Salesforce Business Analyst with experience in Salesforce CRM and data stewardship. You will liaise with both the Group Insurance business and technology teams and manage the Salesforce business analysis needs and demands.

In addition, you will be responsible for managing data feeds and ensuring the information contained in Salesforce is accurate and up to date.

You will work closely with the business on requirements to extend and improve the Salesforce platform in alignment with business strategy. You will maintain functional specifications and collaborate with development and QA teams to support Salesforce implementations. You will work with the business to ensure questions and issues are answered in a timely fashion.


  • Support Salesforce users with questions, data issues and ad-hoc requests
  • Act as the gatekeeper for adding new client and producer accounts in Salesforce
  • Manage manual data loads where needed, including reconciliation / verification of success
  • Support new projects and enhancements, perform user acceptance testing on data fixes
  • Assist users with ongoing questions related to Salesforce functionality and gather end-user feedback
  • Partner with the Technology team on incidents, data issues and new releases
  • Assist data governance team with data stewardship naming and definition process for GI business glossary
  • Assist data governance team with data quality management activities with in Salesforce (e.g. data lineage tracking, data profiling, document business rules and ongoing data quality review and monitoring)
  • Maintain detailed documentation (SOPs) on Salesforce processes
  • Act as a liaison from Salesforce team on the tasks with operational risk management (ORM) and data governance (DG) teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, business, or related field
  • 2+ years of Salesforce Administration/Business Analysis experience
  • Experience with Salesforce Data Migration tools (Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, etc.)
  • Understanding of Data Governance and Stewardship processes
  • Experience using multiple software development methodologies including Agile/Scrum
  • Ability to facilitate requirements gathering, document detailed functional, technical, reporting and data requirements
  • Able to work with users to design and test Salesforce improvements
  • Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision
  • Experience on Sales Cloud and Salesforce Administration configuration
  • Experience on Service Cloud and Salesforce Mobile application is a plus
  • Ability to configure page layouts, build standard and custom reports/dashboards
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Group Insurance business domain knowledge is a huge plus
