The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Cards and Retail Services, Deposit Products Group, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Payment Solutions, and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. Its guiding principles are to start with the customer, move faster, and partner effectively.

Within the Operations team our Operations Support team leads and supports Operations' business strategy and process improvement efforts including advancing Operations Centers of Excellence (COEs) to remove complexity, eliminate duplication and lower expenses.

Operations Strategy and Process Consulting (OSPC) provides a suite of strategy and process engineering services aimed at helping business leaders improve their operational performance across Payments, Virtual Channels and Innovation. Wells Fargo’s simultaneous focus on world class customer experience, risk management, delivery quality, and industry leading financial performance mandates operational excellence to achieve expected outcomes. OSPC provides thought leadership in performance improvement through specialized experience and a broad suite of consulting disciplines including automation.

The Operations Strategy and Process Consulting team is looking for a well-rounded, hands-on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Strategy Consultant to help drive efforts in some of the strategic areas of focus around automation. The leader will help evolve a Federated operating model for automation as a service to PVSI Operations as well as lead execution of automation initiatives with a focus on Design and Developer activities. There is a strategic direction within PVSI Operations to implement numerous automations in 2018. To accomplish this goal, we are working on building a Federated Model dedicated efforts to work closely with Infrastructure teams, work closely with CIO LOB teams for to stand up a automation service offering within and across PVSI Operations.

The RPA Strategy Consultant 3 should have a thorough understanding of Robotic Process Automation technologies, related tools, and existing designs. Will be working on most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors. Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing. Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts. Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process as well as be the conduit between OPSC leadership, Process Designers and our Operations EIT/COE RPA partners.

This is a new program within Operations PVSI and currently on an expansion mode for 2018 and 2019.

****Location is flexible and telecommuting will be considered. Travel is up to 5-10% of the time.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of strategic planning experience
  • 3+ years of design, implementation and governance experience with Robotic Process Automation or Business Process Automation architectures
  • 2 + years of experience leading and executing complex technology transformational programs across an enterprise

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to manage large-scale initiatives including stakeholders across business and technical teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: automation and data automation
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  •  Ability to lead buildout of an Automation platform that supports enterprise automation requirements via an eco-system of tools
  •  Ability to lead large business process automation efforts leveraging state of the art automation solutions
  •  2+ years of experience with Blueprism and/or familiarity/experience with additional RPA tools. Certifications in Blueprism highly preferred.
  •  3+ years of experience in programming (.NET, Java, ETL, C#, Visual Basic, etc.) with a specific focus on developing Bots and/or macro development
  •  3+ years of development experience with a solid understanding of programming concepts.
  •  3+ years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
  •  Understanding of process design documents and technical/solution design documents in the automation space.
  •  Business and/or technology consulting experience, preferably from consulting firms such as Accenture, Deloitte, Strategy&, Cognizant, KPMG, EY, Symphony or Blue Prism.
  •  Strong technical expertise in BluePrism, UI Path
  •  Understanding of the various technologies in AI and market trends
  •  Knowledge of leading Automation Framework/Tools in current market
  •  Ability to adapt configuration/coding to new situations, new integrations and/or new products/interfaces within Blueprism
  •  Ability to build rapport with business SME’s, RPA delivery team, internal partners and end users in cross functional teams.
  •  Experience with systems development life cycle and structured programming methods (both waterfall and agile), including solution design, program development, testing, documentation, training, deployment, operations, support and maintenance.
  •  Established track record of meeting and/or exceeding established business, project and performance goals.
  •  The ability to conceptualize automated solutions and understand the prescribed design architecture
  •  Very good understanding of new emerging technologies in automation area
  •  Demonstrate the flexibility to work amongst diverse corporate environments, technical and non-technical audiences across the organization
  •  Strong desire for exploring, evaluating and understanding new technologies.
  •  The ability to conceptualize automated solutions and understand the prescribed design architecture
  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, MIS or a related Analytical field.
