The Research Scientist is responsible for developing new Oral Care technologies to support Colgate global tooth whitening business.   The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge and working experiences in Oral Care industry, preferable in teeth whitening application. Candidate should also exhibit competencies in technology innovation, consumer goods formulation, and process development. The candidate should have strong communication, analytical/decision-making and planning/priority setting skills.




  • Work closely with Marketing and technical partners (Early Research, Implementation & Support, Safety, Regulatory, Legal, and Clinical) to ensure consumer needs are translated into winning products.
  • Develop products from Marketing concepts through to Implementation & Support transfer including prototype development, stability, scale-up, proof of concept testing, and consumer & clinical testing.
  • Manage project timelines and communicate/present project status.
  • Drive technological innovations to improve tooth whitening efficacy.
  • Perform in vitro efficacy assessment on whitening technologies
  • Conduct technology analysis on competitive products, and develop winning strategy against competition.
  • Collaborate with clinical group to develop and validate novel whitening assessment methodologies.
  • Develop demos to support commercialization and enhance benefit communication to consumers.
  • Identify new or creative solutions to product development
  • Provide project learnings and status through written documentation & presentations.






  • B.S. Degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related fields



  • Minimum 3 years of industrial experience for B. S. Degree candidates
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial experience for M. S. Degree candidates


 Special Knowledge:


  • Hands on experience in the development of Oral Care formulation.
  • In depth understanding of hard tissue related oral technologies.
  • Technical understanding in toothpaste ingredients, their interactions, and functionalities.
  • Strong project management skills to lead multiple projects
