Position Description

Analyst, Forecasting Job Purpose:

  • To execute marketing research studies by compiling, analyzing, and interpreting marketing research data, writing client reports, and constructing presentations.
  • Generates initial draft of forecast results, analyses, and reports, summarizing outcomes, conclusions and recommendations in a concise, client-friendly manner.
  • Supports commercial teams in meeting revenue goals by developing strong forecast analysts, ensuring a high degree of forecast accuracy and supporting high profile and complex forecasting discussions with the client

 

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for high quality first draft of forecasts
  • Drive forecast development and activation for marketing research studies by compiling, analyzing, and interpreting marketing research data
  • Reviews data for errors and inconsistencies
  • Understands and learns to consult on activation and marketing plans
  • Prepares inputs and runs forecasting models
  • Develops preliminary forecast summaries
  • Understands and learns to analyze in-market data and other available Nielsen data to inform forecasts
  • Executes validations, launch management and/or tracking
  • Prepares initial client correspondence and forecast deliverables
  • Participates in client meetings and presentations as needed
  • Develop basic understanding of demand metrics (Factors for Success and volumetric key measures) and how they influence sales
