Public Relations Manager

Job Summary:

As Public Relations (PR) Assistant Director, you'll develop and execute public relations initiatives, to support business strategies and promote EY's image in the market. This should help the firm gain positive exposure, and create business opportunities. In this role, you'll act independently, and interact frequently with the firm's leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with EY management, to understand business objectives, and establish PR programs that promote the firm
  • Develop public relations plans, including media relations initiatives to cover EY's public sponsorships and events
  • Build positive relationships with journalists (television, radio, magazine and newspaper) to gain positive exposure for the firm, which should lead to business opportunities
  • Promote EY through media briefings, news releases, social media channels, conferences, round tables and articles
  • Coordinate national PR strategies with regional public relations efforts, to help promote the firm across multiple venues
  • Develop multi-disciplinary PR/Communications plans to highlight EY's talents and market leadership
  • Analyze appropriate communications channels, to build awareness of the firm's key messages
  • Gain a good understanding of the firm's practice area
  • Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • Solid understanding of the media
  • Experience integrating social media into media relations plans
  • Supervisory skills, including delegating, coaching, defining expectations, etc.
  • Excellent project management, client service, team-building and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient with standard technology including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint and internet
  • A minimum of 7 years related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
