PT Parking Attendant- Hershey's Chocolate World

Job Location: Hershey, PA

 

Parking Attendants are the first and last point of contact for all guests visiting Hershey's Chocolate World! This position is responsible for the safety of Chocolate World guests while entering/exiting by directing guests to the appropriate parking areas, maintaining proper flow of vehicles in and out of the parking lot, and ensuring spaces are available for guests. Parking Attendants assist with setting up parking cones and directional signage as needed. They are also responsible for processing cash transactions and providing general directions. Parking Attendants are empowered to handle numerous guest situations to ensure guest satisfaction. Parking Attendants may be required to drive the company shuttle to assist employees from the stone lot to the main lot during peak season. This position is not a valet position.

 

This is a part-time, seasonal position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, with work hours being primarily in the summer and the fall. The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position.  This position requires evening, weekend and holiday availability.  This position has a starting pay rate of $10.00 per hour.

 

This position requires a focus on exceptional customer service and expects the individual to be: approachable; courteous; knowledgeable about our products; able to clearly communicate with guests and assist them with questions; and able to provide general information to guests with a high level of professionalism. The required skills will be learned primarily through on-the-job training.

  • Using basic math skills, process payment transactions
  • Direct traffic on Hershey’s Chocolate World property during peak traffic times
  • Drive company vehicle as needed (Employee Shuttle)

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

 

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions including extreme heat, rain, wind and other inclement conditions
  • Must maintain a neat appearance and meet the uniform standards
  • Must be able to walk or stand for 5-8 hours
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 25-50 pounds
  • This role will require bending, stooping, and twisting
  • This role requires repetitive motion of the hands, fingers, and wrists
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, fellow coworkers and function effectively as part of a team

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

 

Education: No formal education required

Experience: Parking experience preferred
