PT Admissions & Guest Services Attendant - Hershey's Chocolate World

Job Location: Hershey, PA

 

Admissions & Guest Services Attendants are primarily responsible for assisting guests with questions about Hershey’s Chocolate World attractions and facilitating ticket purchases for the attractions. They use our Entertainment Attraction System to view upcoming show times and tickets that are available for purchase. Attendants will collect ticket revenue, distribute attraction tickets, and take reservations. They will also provide information in person and via telephone regarding local Hershey area attractions, accommodations, and driving directions.  The required skills will be learned primarily through on-the-job training.

 

This is a part-time position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position.  This position requires evening, weekend and holiday availability.  There are a limited number of weekday daytime shifts available during non-peak seasons.  This position has a starting hourly rate of $9.50 or more based on relevant work experience.

Summary of Major Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Must demonstrate our Customer Service Pledge
    • Must be approachable, showing that our guests are our priority
    • Must initiate contact with our guests by being courteous and greeting them with a smile
    • Must be willing to listen to our guests and provide for their needs
    • Must provide a genuine Thank You to every guest
  • Greet guests and assist them with questions related to Hershey’s Chocolate World attractions including ticket prices
  • Provide general information to customers in person as well as on the telephone regarding local Hershey area attractions, accommodations, and driving directions

 

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must be able to operate a cash register
  • Must have basic computer skills to efficiently work with the computer/register system
  • Must maintain a neat appearance and adhere to the uniform standards
  • Must be able to walk or stand for 5-8 hours
  • This role may require bending, stooping, and twisting
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud during peak season
  • Requires constant repetitive use of the hands, wrists, and forearms
  • Must be comfortable working in large crowds
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly with guests
  • Must have basic math skills (adding and subtracting)
  • Occasionally work outside assisting guests with strollers
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and fellow coworkers and function effectively as part of a team
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education: No formal education required

Experience: Guest service, ticket sales, or entertainment experience is preferred but not required
