Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning, to family legacy intentions. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, insurance and both individual and institutional retirement.

As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:  

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

The Project Manager 5 is a Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) within Wealth and Investment Management’s (WIM) GPMO. This individual will program / project manage a variety of initiatives tied to WIM’s annual strategic initiatives. The Sr. PM will be responsible for implementing changes to systems and processes which are expected to have a positive impact on quality, efficiency, and / or revenue.

The Sr. PM will work with all levels of management to manage the development business requirements and associated documentation for business model changes, including training and communication strategies; consult with business partners to clarify and define project requirements and business case, including development of a statement of work; and develop and revise complex project plans and budgets. Works with users to understand complex problems and focuses on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines.

During the execution of a business change, the Sr. PM will be responsible for driving all the deliverables of the project, coordinating resources between departments, and addressing unforeseen questions or challenges with research and problem resolution. The position will require coordinating complex projects of significant scope and organizational span.

The Sr. PM will provide consulting expertise and PM experience to analyze and evaluate business solutions. The Sr. PM will be a thought partner with the business organizations they support in order to successfully deliver the strategic initiatives and ensure the business partner objectives are achieved. The position will involve extensive interaction with all levels of team members including senior executives.

Overall Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for leading project teams and managing all activities in a project life-cycle (initiation planning, executing/controlling, and closing) associated with high visibility projects that are long-term, across one or more lines of business and carry a substantial impact to the relevant businesses.
  • Interacts with senior leadership and major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives for programs or projects.
  • Consults with business partners to clarify and define complex project requirements, budgets and business cases, including statements of work. Creates and delivers presentations on program or project goals and plans, including progress reports.
  • Responsible for end-to-end program or project management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process from beginning to end.
  • Develops and implements program and project level processes, procedures and performance metrics. 
  • May be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing outside vendors.
  • Typically manages a family or series of projects associated with a specific business strategy to obtain benefits and controls.
  • Ensures program/project-related risks are managed according to the Project Management Policy. Leads project staff, including training and providing input to performance evaluations.
  • May directly manage 1 or 2 project staff team members.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of project management experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry: wealth management, brokerage, or retirement
  • Ability to influence management on technical or business solutions
  • Ability to research, analyze, document, and present organizational metrics that drive business decisions
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • SharePoint experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Project skills
  • 2+ years of private banking experience
