Project Management, Strategic Relationships

About the position

  • Serves as day- to-day contact for key strategic relationships within our sales distribution channels.
  • Develops project plans and statement of work, determines resource requirements and obtains resources for assigned projects.
  • Routinely communicates project status to stakeholders and delivers end-project (e.g., completed task(s), implemented processes/controls, set of recommendations, documented business requirements, etc.)
  • Key resource for VP, Specialty/Tax Exempt Distribution and VP, National Partner Operations & Integration with day to day management of key strategic relationships including reporting, issue resolution, meeting preparation, and follow-up coordination of marketing, selling agreement management and sales and support functions.
  • Partners in business development initiatives for identifying and cultivating new strategic relationships.
  • Acts as a liaison between Marketing and Strategic Relations Team to ensure team is aware of and effectively leverages marketing and communications materials within distribution channels.
  • Maintain and partner in updating strategic relationship information in the centralized CRM database to ensure quality of reporting and market interactions.
  • Manages project responsibilities for Strategic Relations Initiatives (e.g., consultant seminars, webinars, targeted campaigns, etc.)
  • Responsible for serving as the product expert and update the team on all changes and enhancements across our Full-Service and I/O offerings (i.e. recent wins, new capabilities, marketplace and competitor intelligence, trends, etc.)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of Retirement Industry experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Relationship Management or Sales
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to identify/anticipate needs to proactively provide solutions/support
  • Excellent analytical, reporting and information synthesis skills
  • Strategic minded; ability to conceive of and propose new directives and execute to build stronger organizational capability
  • Strong drive for results
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and motivation
  • Leadership and partnering skills in working with all internal/external partners
  • Strong communication skills (written & oral)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com is a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous, time-sensitive projects
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters
  • FINRA 6, 63 and Life Insurance licenses required within 120 days of employment
