This is an opportunity to work with the US EY in-house Creative Services team in New York City.

As Production Artist, you will be responsible for teaming with designers in the graphic production of deliverables in a variety of media, including digital and print. This is a production-level (non-design) position within the Design Studio. In this role, you will translate design specifications into deliverables, integrate text and graphics, create and edit complex templates with speed and accuracy, and prepare/finalize files for printing/copying or hosting on web servers.

In addition, you'll demonstrate and apply advanced knowledge of firm brand and standard graphic applications with high-level technical/software skills. You will effectively prioritize and balance multiple projects and may lead teams to collaborate and provide additional resources to meet deadlines.

Standard working hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Overtime is required, as necessary, to meet deadlines.


Responsibilities

· Translate design concepts to create effective layouts with strong typography and appropriate use of color while maintaining brand integrity by interpreting and applying brand guidelines

· Demonstrate photo/image manipulation and transformation skills, pulling out bleed, resizing and cropping as needed

· Expertise in placing graphics and text, using master pages and style sheets, standard electronic file management/archiving and troubleshooting

· Apply advanced knowledge of layout, type, color, tracking, kerning and leading

· Apply advanced knowledge of firm brand/strategy to create branded templates

· Incorporate revisions, punctuation, spelling, formatting, and perform mail merge functions

· Demonstrate effective project management, including preparing estimates/timelines/budget, on-time deliverables and resource allocation

· Prepare files for print/electronic delivery; effectively handle vendor requests

· Shoot professional headshots using a DSLR camera in local/regional offices

· Anticipate customer needs and suggest innovative ideas/options/solutions

· Contribute technical skills and guide teams, including virtually, with leading practices

· Act as a peer advisor, coach or trainer on software and processes, and share knowledge

· Accurately assess project requirements, manage risk, make decisions, and add consultative value

· Break problems into manageable parts, apply complex problem-solving techniques and identify additional resource needs

· Demonstrate flexibility to work with multiple projects and customers simultaneously

· Must be able to work overtime as requested, often on a last-minute basis, and alter hours as needed

· Must adhere to busy season staffing requirements and scheduling

· Ability to quickly gain in-depth knowledge of firm brand/strategy; creating documents utilizing EY templates and standards

· Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal teaming and collaboration skills

Experience and Education

· Minimum of 4 years of related experience in graphics/multimedia industry

· Associates degree or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design is a plus.
