The Product Director, Infectious Diseases Marketing, will play a critical role as a member of the SYMTUZA marketing team, and lead co-selling efforts with Viiv for the launch of the first long acting HIV injectable. Core responsibilities include the following:


·          Strategy & Execution: Lead the development & execution of HIV business strategies & marketing plans to deliver growth in NTS and market share.

·          Tactical Execution: Develop and execute tactics within the SYMTUZA, long acting injectable, as well as Infectious Diseases business plan.  Manage strategy, planning and content for sales meetings and POAs

·          Lead efforts to revolutionize our medical education platform to more meaningfully and conveniently meet busy HCPs with an on demand SYMTUZA® med ed experience that gives prescribers the ability to Learn, Share and Connect with digestible (20 mins or less), relevant and engaging formats (podcast, video, debate, case based live online roundtable, paper, etc.) that is channel and device agnostic 

·          Janssen marketing lead for launch of first long acting HIV injectable.  Define and align co-selling efforts with Viiv.

·          Health of the Business: Partner with Commercial Excellence team to analyze and report on market and brand performance, identifying insights & opportunities to drive growth.

·          Communication & Claims Development: Partner with agencies, market research and cross-franchise to develop professional and patient communications, and identify new claims and insights

·          Opinion Leader Engagement: Collaborate with Medical Affairs to identify and engage key opinion leaders to engage for insight identification and peer-to-peer programs

·          Cultural Contributions: Contribute to a culture of collaboration, trust, and personal development as part of the ID marketing team.

·          Investment Management: Make strategic recommendations for investment, and manage budget to commitments.

·          Cross-Franchise Collaboration: Identify synergistic opportunities to partner with Neuroscience and other franchise teams

·          Organizational Alignment:  Build strong alliances with Medical, Sales, Sales Learning & Development, Legal, Regulatory, Commercial Excellence, Agencies and other key business partners.   Drive cross-functional awareness, alignment and accountability to the Infectious Diseases strategies.

The individual must have excellent skills in communication, cross-functional alignment, and influencing without authority. The individual must also demonstrate intellectual curiosity and willingness to take smart risks – measuring and optimizing based on results. Thought leadership, accountability, and results orientation are required. The successful candidate is a self-starter with a track record of challenging the status quo, delivering results, and earning followership.

  • A minimum of a B.A./B.S. required. 
  • MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years business experience, of which includes at least 5 years of successful and progressive experience in Sales and Marketing in pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
  • In-line/brand marketing and personal experience interacting with customers and Key Opinion Leaders on a clinical level is preferred.  
  • Launch experience is preferred. 
  • This role is located in Titusville, NJ and will require up to 30% domestic travel.
