Where the Chemistry Happens…

The Process Controls Engineer will deliver and maintain controls systems that meet project, safety, and production requirements while maximizing system capability. S/he will act as the Manufacturing Representative for project deliverables in support of the effective and efficient implementation of a new DCS and SIS.

Process Controls Engineer (1801399) – Wyandotte, MI

Formula for Success: You Will…

· Develop, implement, and maintain control systems for a Performance Materials plant.

· Serve as the manufacturing representative for implementation of a new controls systems as part of a large capital investment.

· Provide expertise as a resource in process controls.

· Perform advanced control and graphic configuration on systems.

· Understand plant-specific requirements for control systems and provide technical expertise in the implementation of new control systems.

· Troubleshoot control system issues, and lead, coordinate, and implement root cause failure analysis on significant failures.

· Develop, implement, document, and maintain control system manuals.

· Act as a subject matter expert in development and delivery of training for production personnel.

· Continually improve and optimize control systems.

· Drive compliance to regulatory and BASF requirements for control systems.

· Develop and maintain Process Safety Information for control systems.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

· Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.

· At least 4 years of chemical process experience, and 4 years of controls system experience required.

· The ability to adapt and work effectively in an environment characterized by recurring change, uncertainty, or ambiguity.

· Proven record of developing creative solutions to new problems.

· Strong entrepreneurial action.

· Solid teamworking skills and collaborate for achievement.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Knowledge and experience with OSHA PSM requirements desired.
