Pharmacy Billing Representative

Job DescriptionCVS Health, Specialty Pharmacy, a mail service pharmacy in the Monroeville area, has an opportunity available for a full time billing representative. As a Pharmacy Billing Representative, you will ensure timely and accurate billing for outstanding claims while demonstrating excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals and insurance carriers.
Key responsibilities of the Pharmacy Billing Representative:
Responsible for all third party billing and follow-up associated with the dispensing of prescription medication Maintain supporting chronological notes that detail action taken to resolve outstanding balances Maintain patient demographic information and data collections systems Work all billing reports, queues, or diversions according to payer and company policy guidelines Research and respond by telephone, via the internet and in writing to insurance companies and governmental payers regarding billing issues and problems Transmit or submit claims (paper, electronic) to insurance payers for reimbursement Resolve insurance problems and patient issues that may have resulted from incorrect or incomplete information, therapy changes and pharmacy or shipping errors Contact patients and physician's offices as needed in order to expedite claims processing Located in the Monroeville Facility, this opportunity also provides free parking.Required Qualifications: Six Months experience performing healthcare reimbursement, medical insurance/billing or related work
Ability to communicate with clientele in a professional manner; both verbally and written
Ability to navigate through multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize based on importance while displaying strong attention to detail
Experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft WordPreferred QualificationsExperience working with a healthcare reimbursement system preferred

Proven effective customer service skills and experience that shows ability to work in a team environment

Ability to take data/information and form strong analysis to be provided to leadership
