The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. The Operations Group is responsible for key functions critical to achieving Wells Fargo's Vision and Values. Operations provides foundational banking services for many businesses across the enterprise. We have an experienced leadership team and highly engaged team members committed to being a competitive advantage for Wells Fargo. From protecting customers from fraud to assisting bankers with opening new deposit accounts, from enabling companies to wire funds to processing millions of transactions accurately and timely each day, the critical work our team does creates the experience customers have with Wells Fargo. Within the Operations team our Electronic & Commercial Services team processes cash and check deposits, fulfills currency and coin orders through cash vault services, provides retail and wholesale lockbox collection services, wire transfer services, and Treasury Management (TM) products and services, including monthly billing statements for Business Banking, Wholesale, International, and TM customers.

Cash Vault Services is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and self-directed leader to manage site operations in Miami, Florida. The Operations Manager 4 will have complete accountability for a large and complex site operations with an annual budget of approximately $5.5 million and 60 exempt and non-exempt team members who work one expanded shift (Monday through Friday). The leader will be responsible for the timely and accurate posting of the deposit and change order functions under strict processing deadlines and customer-centric Service Level Agreements supporting the needs of commercial accounts, correspondent accounts, and Wells Fargo's branch/ATM network. The site operates in a secure, high volume environment using multiple processing platforms to address the transactional needs for currency, coin, and check media processing for these customers.

The Operations Manager 4 will set and communicate clear goals that align with business objectives and ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies. This leader will work independently on complex and challenging issues and projects, while continuously implementing process improvements. This work will include being a champion for risk mitigation efforts, eliminating exposures to corporate audit findings, BSA/AML risks, external audit review findings/exceptions, and operational risks by:

  • Managing all aspects of site performance including production, financial budgeting and costing, customer support and human capital results
  • Ensuring the team is adhering to Cash Vault policy and control procedures
  • Managing the production processes in a highly metrics driven operation, using a fact based data and analytics approach to planning and decision making
  • Ensuring optimal Cash Inventory management practices are followed, effectively directing resources to expedite the recirculation of inventory and the retention of appropriate balances
  • Preparing the site for contingency operations and assessing and executing the need to implement business resumption procedures
  • Creating and supporting a secure environment that protects and provides for the safety of team members and physical assets
  • Partnering with key stakeholders including leaders supporting armored carriers, the Federal Reserve Bank, Uniformed Security Division, Corporate Properties Group, internal cash vault support, risk and compliance, Client Services and Treasury partners, Community Affairs leadership, Cash Vault peers, HR and local line of business heads


The Operations Manager 4 will also promote a customer centric service culture and encourage Corporate Citizenship efforts through personal engagement by:

  • Ensuring appropriately skilled individuals are hired and trained and establish performance goals for all positions
  • Conducting regular staff meetings, championing training and development, addressing performance issues with professionalism, and completing performance assessments with appropriate and timely feedback

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of operations experience
  • 4+ years of management experience in an operations environment

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including senior leadership/management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Workforce management experience including: directing activities of team members, performance management, career development, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
  • Experience with capacity planning, forecasting, process improvement, and measurements
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels
  • Ability to provide strong customer service and develop customer relationships
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy



Other Desired Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 4 years management experience directing a minimum of 20 team members, both exempt and non-exempt level staff, in a demanding production environment
  • Demonstrated experience in trend analysis and recommending appropriate changes to identify and address root cause
  • Cash Vault Management experience
  • Check Processing experience including image capture technology
