Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) is one of the company’s four main divisions. WIM businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. Trust Operations: Trust Operations serves as the foundational back office processing group to all of Wells Fargo's trust, custody and fiduciary businesses.

Trust Operations’ Cash and Accounting group is looking for a qualified candidate to serve as an Operations Analyst 4.  The candidate will work with the cash processing group, developing a working knowledge of the group’s many functions and roles.  The candidate will be the group’s liaison with the Bank’s payment service departments.  The candidate will assess, develop and implement group process and systemic enhancements.  The candidate must have excellent communication skills, must be an effective team-player, and able to juggle multiple priorities.  The candidate will be comfortable with new technology, quickly grasp new concepts, and able to work effectively with both high-level concepts and detailed analysis.  Duties include:

  • Partnering with technology groups to define business requirements, perform user acceptance testing and implement complex changes
  • Developing side by side analysis to quantify capabilities and identify gaps between existing and proposed processes or applications.
  • Problem-solving to identify an issue’s root cause and its most viable remedy.
  • Testing the feasibility of new ideas, developing and documenting new processes, and re-engineering existing functions to capture efficiencies or reduce risk.
  • Developing and articulating subject matter expertise on a variety of functions responsible for critical transaction processing.
  • Working independently with considerable latitude, compile, analyze and interpret data to make strategic and tactical recommendations to business managers.
  • Using statistical analysis to solve complex operational, systems related and/or customer issues with potential large-scale financial risk.
  • Working with individuals inside and outside of Trust to draft Trust operations policies, procedures and controls.
  • Working with regulatory, audit, compliance, risk, or other associated teams to identify and resolve operating risks and issues.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of operations analysis experience

  • Ability to independently provide summaries and make strategic recommendations on operational data
  • Ability to partner and coordinate with other functions on projects

  • Outstanding technical and critical thinking skills
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and resolution skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment

Other Desired Qualifications


  • Possesses Trust or Bank payments experience. 
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.    
  • Familiarity with banking regulations
