Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk and market risk. International Testing & Validation

The International Testing & Validation (T&V) function provides regulatory compliance and operational risk oversight through the execution of standardized testing across those disciplines. This newly consolidated function will be designed to provide independent assurance that risk programs and controls are operating effectively across the following key risk types: Financial Crimes, Regulatory Compliance, and Operational Risk; and risk programs such as Business Process Risk Management, Information Security, Information Risk, Third Party, Process/Transaction, Conduct, Change Management, Product/Service and Human Capital.

The Practices & Quality Control (QC) Team within the International Testing & Validation organization is responsible for providing centralized support of the testing process and providing assurance of the completeness, consistency and adequacy of risk-based review activities internationally.

Specific duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality control process that will confirm compliance with related T&V policies and standards and verify consistency across the International T&V program
  • Preparing reporting on the results of the quality control activity.
  • Contributing to the design of processes and activities that promote consistency of execution and continuous improvement, including providing feedback on training needs and suggesting enhancements to test execution guidance
  • Supporting management and coordination of testing related special projects/initiatives, including the implementation of new testing requirements, alignment of testing responsibilities across applicable lines of business, and remediation of any related audit/exam issues
  • Collaborating with other key T&V points of contact within Corporate Risk, Wholesale and WIM to ensure consistency of T&V programs, policies and procedures
  • Maintaining an understanding of the RCRM, Operational Risk Framework, and T&V Standards and the interconnectivity of its key components
  • Maintaining an understanding of business operations and regulatory guidance / expectations

**Open to other locations as well as telecommute option.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Specific experience related to operational risk and regulatory compliance testing and/or audit experience within a financial services firm
  • Prior experience performing quality control or quality assurance for an auditing or testing function.
  • Knowledge of Wells Fargo Operational Risk tools
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Working knowledge of Wells Fargo international banking businesses
  • Strong leadership, relationship building, and collaboration skills and ability to operate in a team-oriented culture
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, self-starter and highly motivated to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines despite competing priorities
  • Understanding of global regulatory compliance and operational risk programs specific to international business activities
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
