Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk and market risk. We help our management and Board of Directors identify and monitor risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and take appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

The WIM Testing & Validation (T&V) function performs regulatory compliance and operational risk testing and issue validation on all the WIM businesses. This newly consolidated function provides independent assurance that risk programs and controls are operating effectively. The WIM Information Security Control Testing (IS CT) Team is seeking a candidate focused on Information Security and the right candidate will have extensive experience in IT Audit, Information Security, or Operational Risk Consulting. The successful candidate should be organized and extremely detail oriented with exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, specifically with the ability to identify and understand a broad spectrum of risks, analyze risk assessment reports and testing of security control effectiveness. The role will operate in a very dynamic manner and strive to connect and build relationships with key partners. The ORC will work closely with Enterprise Information Security, Enterprise Information Technology, and other technology, business and risk teams.

Specific duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Plan and perform testing within required timeframes and in accordance with established processes and procedures
• Provide credible challenge and recommendations resulting from control testing to technology and business teams
• Identify key risks and controls, conduct interviews / walkthroughs, and gather control testing evidence
• Ensure control reviews are executed in compliance with the Enterprise T&V Standards and Procedures, as well as Control Testing Oversight methodology and processes
• Thoroughly document and succinctly write test work summaries and reports
• Discuss findings and observations discovered through testing with responsible parties
• Analyze issues identified; escalate problems to management and the business as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
  • Microsoft Excel experience designing and running macros
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)

Other Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of Information Security to include but not limited to access management, cyber security
• Knowledge and understanding of information security policies and control standards
• Experience with risk reporting tools including, but not limited to: SPARC, SHRP, SHRP Reporting, TRIMS, etc.
• Experience evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls; and identifying issues resulting from internal and/or external compliance examinations
