North American Research Forum – August 2018 – Iselin, NJ

POSTING IS OPEN TO NORTHAMERICAN APPLICANTS TO BASF'S 2018 NORTH AMERICAN RESEARCH FORUM THAT WILLTAKE PLACE AUGUST 27-29 IN ISELIN, NEW JERSEY.

Each summer BASF invitesPh.D. students and academic postdoctoral researchers to apply for the NorthAmerican Research Forum.

The Research Forum offers aunique opportunity for young scientists and engineers to gain insight into thechemical industry and learn about R&D, engineering, technology, marketingor production.

This year the Forum will beheld from August 27th -29th, starting the afternoon of Monday 27th and endingwith lunch on Wednesday 29th.

As representatives of theiruniversity and their working groups, the participants will exchange experienceand ideas within the group and with BASF colleagues through presentations,discussions, lab visits and numerous informal meetings and social events.

The participants will be guestsof BASF during the forum. BASF will cover the expenses incurred for travel,board and lodging.



Basic Qualifications

  • Working toward OR possess a PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science or Bioscience
  • Current graduate student at a North American University in your 3rd year or later OR a first/second year post doc at a North American University (at time of forum, not application)

Since we anticipate many more applications than available places, a shortlist of participants, selected based on professional qualification, leadership, relevance to BASF's research topics and diversity of the group will be invited to answer two questions by video to select the 35 participants.
