Material Supply Disruption Lead

Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Material Supply Disruption Lead with a preferred location of Skillman, NJ with consideration given to any J&J Consumer North America location (Los Angeles, CA / Lititz, PA / Lancaster, PA / Ft Washington, PA / Markham, Ontario / Guelph Ontario / Haina, Dominican Republic).

The Material Supply Disruption Lead supports regional J&J Consumer manufacturing across both internal sites and directed-spend external supply points. The MSD Lead interfaces with internal and external business partners and suppliers to improve customer fulfillment and supplier delivery performance and responsiveness, abiding by the spirit of the Johnson and Johnson Credo. The MSD Lead leverages processes, systems, and reporting capabilities that improve the efficiency of plant-based material supply services, using technology and monitoring metrics necessary to achieve targeted performance goals.

The Material Supply Disruption Lead will be:
  • Responsible for incoming material supply chains as a point of contact (POC) at the assigned site(s), based upon a pre-defined scope of commodities, franchises, and/or brands.
  • Driving or supporting improvements in material reliability, customer fulfillment, supplier delivery performance, and responsiveness
  • Owning the operational resolution of emerging supply issues across the MSM network.
  • Identifying problematic suppliers and works jointly with Strategic Sourcing and MSM peers to correct or exit.
  • Leading discussions with key functional partners – Raw Material Center (RMC), Package Material Center (PMC), Quality, Support for Marketed Products (SMP), etc. – to drive resolution of out-of-specification materials, discontinued materials, and material feed stock changes.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, a focused degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Technical or related is preferred
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related experience in Strategic Sourcing/Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or similar operations
  • Other related professional certifications (e.g., APICS, ISM, Process Excellence/Six Sigma) are desirable
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence peer levels
  • Demonstrated negotiating and pre-negotiation planning experience is preferred
  • An understanding of manufacturing operations and plants is preferred
  • Experience with MRP systems, such as SAP, is highly desired
  • Strong project management skills are a plus. Insight into End-to-End supply chain characteristics and understanding of financial processes such as business case development, P&L calculation and COGS is preferred.
  • This position may be located at any North American Johnson & Johnson Consumer site and may require travel up to 10% of the time.
