Job Description

The Counterparty Risk Governance team is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join the group. Counterparty Risk Governance, within Enterprise Counterparty Risk Management (ECRM) is responsible for ensuring comprehensive and transparent counterparty risk governance practices are in place across the company.

The Quality Assurance Program is a newly established function within ECRM. The Program Manger will be responsible for the design and deployment of a formalized quality assurance framework to support the issue management program. The program scope will also include the validation of LOB issues where the primary risk type is Counterparty and select ECRM owned issues. The Program Manager will need a solid understanding of counterparty credit risk and capital markets in order to assess and challenge issues during validation and to effectively design QA routines.

  • Scope, design and implement a framework for an ECRM Quality Assurance program;
  • Monitor first line and second line issues to determine potential QA requirements;
  • Design QA routines for validation of identified issues or issue components, ensuring effective testing and challenge;
  • Build out documentation requirements to ensure effective evidence of QA, challenge and testing;
  • Create reporting to provide transparency and feedback around the quality assurance framework;
  • Partner closely with ECRM Issues Management to provide periodic updates on validation status
Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: trading, desk analyst, or capital markets

Desired Qualifications

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 3 years Capital Markets environment experience;
  • 5 years control function experience, such as audit, compliance or risk;
  • Familiarity with counterparty credit risk products, concepts, and regulations;
  • Experience designing testing and validation routines;
  • Proven ability to work in a regulated industry;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with team members, actively lead projects/discussions, work through problems and reach decisions that are in the best interest of the Company and customers;
  • Extremely well organized with the ability to manage large initiatives concurrently;
  • Ability to work as a team member and the ability to work directly with internal and external auditors/regulators in a constructive and professional manner;
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed and rapidly evolving environment;
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, finance or economics discipline is preferred, while an MBA or other finance or business-related post-graduate qualification is highly desired.
